The Christmas Tree Lot features sustainably farmed, first quality trees. Kids will enjoy coloring books, candy and Charlie Brown trees and a special tree decorated with a unique collection of camel ornaments. Meet Cally, the carousel camel, who flies to the North Pole every night to deliver children’s Christmas requests. The Museum provides a desk and all of the materials for children to write and post their notes while Mom and Dad select their tree. This is a great opportunity to start or continue your family tradition.

Tree Lot is open until December 23rd or sell out.

The Art of the Toy: Wild, Whimsical, and Magical, the latest exhibition at Arts Benicia, explores the toy as a work of art, the toy as a vehicle for the imagination. Whether created for play or as a reference to playthings, toys can embody our own personas. They can be filled with nostalgia, fun, scary, ridiculous, or thought provoking.

Join Robin Leong, leader, to scout several locations in advance of the Benicia Christmas Bird Count on December 19. Preview several areas in the 15 mile diameter Bird Count circle. You will learn how to estimate the number of species seen, as well as tally as many species as possible. Please bring something to eat, if you would like lunch or a snack during the trip.
