The folk-music duo, Men of Worth, was formed by James Keigher (Ireland) and Donnie Macdonald (Scotland) in 1986. Together they blend their voices with harmony and support their collection of songs with their varied selection of instruments. They have a very simple approach to their presentation, and in keeping with tradition, remain true to the music and story. Their show is a unique combination of humor, exciting tunes, and soulful, heartfelt ballads.

The American Civil War Association will present a Civil War Living History event, which includes maneuver drills, a black powder firearm maintenance demonstration, and performances of life in a typical Civil War military camp. Over 40 reenactors will be present and dressed in Union attire at the State Historic Park, and reenactors in civilian attire will be at Elizabeth's Hair Design on First Street to increase awareness of the event. Visitors are encouraged to also visit the Benicia Capitol Building and Fischer-Hanlon House for a more complete historic experience.

Come enjoy a beautiful Sunday morning along the scenic Carquinez Straight and through historical downtown Benicia.  The 5th Annual Benicia Education Foundation Run for Education is an event for every ability- 10K chip timed run, 5K timed walk or run, “Shop & Stroll” for non-runners and a 1-Mile Fun Run for kids 14 and under.  There is even "Snooze, but Don't Lose" for people that can't make it and want to support Benicia students.  Registration opens January 4th with savings for early sign-up.
