Enjoy the sunny waterfront views of Alvarez 9th Street Park, or take a ride down the enormous slide at Community Park (aka "Big Slide Park")!

While you're there, let your dog off the leash at Phenix Dog Park, featuring fully-fenced sections for both large and small dogs.

View a park map, or request a reservation/permit for your next picnic, baby shower, or birthday party!

Nature

Explore the Benicia State Recreation Area, offering 438 acres of land with 2½ miles of paths set aside for cyclists, runners, walkers, equestrians and roller skaters. Try to see how many ground squirrels and songbirds you can spot!

Also, make sure to check out the native flowers at the Botanical Gardens before you leave!

Parking is available inside the park by the botanical gardens or by the entrance of the park, itself. You will want to dress in layers if you start in the morning.
